ACM Records Bio on Grandmaster Melle Mel
Grandmaster Melle Mel is one of the forefathers of Hip-Hop from the Bronx, NY. The first innovative rapper known from the streets, Melle Mel has contributed his lyrical styles for generations for over 30 years to learn. He has collaborated in two Grammy Award nominees, with Quincy Jones and Chaka Khan.

Melle Mel has been featured in numerous movie presentations such as Beat Street, Police Academy, and the Miami Vice TV series. In the years between 1980 to 1990 Melle Mel has had over 35 smash singles. He created a niche for himself as well as others in the Hip-Hop community. His new up coming album (Big Melle) is a sure shot winner.

Though the Grandmaster is old school, his lyrics and flow are fresh. Flowing from 16 to 32 bars is a must for Mel.
